Satao Camp is a small unfenced tented camp located next to a waterhole in Tsavo East national park. Being unfenced, there are big numbers of impala spending their night in the camp, hoping to enjoy the security the camp gives them against predators.

Most of the tents have twin beds, with only a few tents with double beds available. If you are looking for an old-style safari experience, this might be the right place for you. However, expect to be completely disconnected from the outside world since wifi at the camp is not always available and also there is no network coverage for the most popular mobile operators in Kenya.
